spadekevin created a new topic ' Print from PC vs SD Card' in the forum. 2 months ago

Hi,

Greetings and hello as a new user to 3D Printing and Simplify3D. I feel I've made a great decision with this software even as a hobbyist. I tried searching but was not able to find this exact question. I'm currently using Simplify3D and printing via USB. No issues and I love the progress/features that are updated as it prints. My question is, if I use the USB option, am I sacrificing any quality/setting monitoring through Simplify3D? Aside from an issue of a PC crash, what are the pros and cons of one vs the other?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

spadekevin created a new topic ' Controller issue PC/ controller lag' in the forum. 2 months ago

Hi,

the past couple days I've encountered my controller randomly disconnecting. I'm using a microsoft Xbox One wireless controller that I have wired to the PC. It's not the cord, nor the controller because I'm able to play other games without interruption only Rocket League. I've checked the drivers, uninstalled and re installed rocket league and no such luck. Also, on Xbox I've been experiencing some controller lag. If there's any advice on fixing this issue that would be great.

Please help.

spadekevin created a new topic ' Android-Wifi connection issue..' in the forum. 2 months ago

Hi,

I've been trying to fix an annoying problem that I'm facing but not getting anywhere so hope I can get some guidance here. Here goes:I currently have a TP-link Wireless N Router (model TL-WR740N) connected to a PPPoE network from the ISP. The internet works great on my laptop but I have an issue with the android phones I try to connect (tried S2 and Desire). The phone has problem opening some Apps like Facebook and Youtube (the app starts but is stuck on the initial loading wheel). Apps like Rage reader and Google Play fail to load the images. Furthermore weather apps cannot synch with the server with regards to my location. Accessing facebook & youtube by a web browser also has problems where it just shows the text without images in a strange page format and websites like Imgur just dont load and I get a 'Web page not available' error. The problems seem to disappear when I'm using a different network so it must be my particular Wi-fi that's messed up but then again the broadband (1Mbps) works perfectly on my laptop and netbook. I have tried reducing the MTU to 3500 and giving a static private IP to my device but NOTHING.

Please help.

joe jonsme created a new topic ' Ground or mud physics' in the forum. 3 months ago

Hello,

I know the is already a game on the market the uses mud physics to the highest degree but I'm asking if there are any development on the ground physics in Farm Simulator? I'm on console and I have installed the 4REAL MODULE, but this mod doesn't give you the feeling your driving on mud or grass let a lone driving in the game what so ever. Driving in this game has no connection to a real drive experience with a tractor. This is because the game doesn't have ground physics or mud physics. Spintires is of course a game that take ground real far maybe even to far for game like farming simulator because the goal is not the get unstuck or winch of course. Still though as a farming simulator you expect at least the basics of ground and mud physics in this game and not a game where your driving has no impact on the game or your map you are playing.

Any help will be apprecited.

joe jonsme created a new topic ' Connection problem with non-IRE mud' in the forum. 3 months ago

Hello,

So, I've tried out using Mudlet today. It works fine when I connect to Aetolia and Imperian. There's also another non-IRE mud I play. I connect to it and then about 3-4 seconds later, like it looks like someone's just entered a blank line into the client, and then I no longer receive output from the game, but it keeps me connected. It's not the Mud either, because I can connect and play it just fine in AL Client. Any ideas?

Any help will be apprecited.

joe jonsme created a new topic ' HDMI monitors says NO SIGNAL' in the forum. 3 months ago

Hello,

I connected the RPi for the first time to a TV monitor with HDMI but I got "No Signal". I tried it on several chanels and cables with no luck. Other computers work fine with the TV and the cables so there can not be the problem. Then I tried a computer monitor with HDMI also with no monitor image (I have not tested the video output of the RPi because no cables are available at the moment). What is happening

Any help will be apprecited.

joe jonsme created a new topic ' How to automate adding custom XML feed to many sites?' in the forum. 3 months ago

Hello,

We have an application that creates an XML feed for the last 5 entries, similar to an RSS feed for a blog. I have the javascript and CSS to create the objects and display the feed as desired. We show the title (with a hyperlink) and an associated image for those 5 entries on only the Home page. Currently I have only done 1 site as a test and placed it into the Content section of the index page. I understand I could also place the code in Settings > Custom (aside from the div container the script uses). The issue is I need to automate this with a script so I don't have to use the Panel because we need to install the same thing on many sites. I can inject the necessary code into either page.json for 1.index or config.user.json but then I still have to go into the Panel and Save the appropriate page. I can't inject into the appropriate file in _cache\pages because it wouldn't have been created yet anyway.
What do you suggest to make adding this "feed" functionality as quick and easy as possible on lots of sites?

Any help will be apprecited.

lalupihat created a new topic ' Can someone post maybe a youtube clip of a muddy mix or something?' in the forum. 3 months ago

Hello,

I really don't know what muddy audio is supposed to sound like. Apparently it occurs in the lower-mid frequencies, but I never really notice anything.

Can someone post maybe a youtube clip of a muddy mix or something? I mean I see all these people panicking over cutting certain frequencies which could lead to mud. I just don't get it.

Postby redrabbit ยป Sun Jan 25, 2015 14:03 pm

I've read that jet washing a bike isn't great. So I guess the alternative is bucket and sponge? .The problem with this, is yesterday I did a sportive which was through flooded swamps, muddy tracks, which has left a thick crust of mud ALL over the bike.
I kinda thing the jet wash is the only option? .Or is there a trick to washing a bike as dirty as this?

lalupihat created a new topic ' Portable/Mobile Offline MUD?' in the forum. 4 months ago

Hello,

Does anybody know if there is a MUD out there that can be played on iPhone or Android, but in an offline state? I spend
a lot of my time in areas where a data connection just isn't possible. Sure, I could throw SMAUG on on Windows and play it
on a PC, but I need something a bit more portable and pocket-able. I suppose it would possible to have your phone act as
both server and client...perhaps putting running a server on a phone with the code base and than just telnet to localhost or
use any MUD client...something like that. Has anybody tried this or could anybody point me in the right direction?

Please help.

Hello,

I know this is going to sound very noobish but i want to know.I was looking around and was not exactly able to find what i was looking for and i am also a bit confused on how to put together a mud, My question is if i wanted to make a mud could i somehow download an already existing mud to my computer to play with it offline, I would not want to make it available online till i get a better feeling for the code and the way it works. Also if i am able to get it and download it to my computer where would i go and find something like that?

lalupihat created a new topic ' Offline.....MUD?' in the forum. 4 months ago

Hello,

Ok so asking for a game offline and putting MUD in the same sentance is a contradiction.Never the less, while I like MUDs, I don't like massively multiplayer MUDs, nor am I always able to connect online to play a MUD.So, are there any "offline MUDs" out there? I'm thinking of a dynamic Zork offline, for the most part.I'm looking for something that I can compile myself since the laptop I want to use this on is OS X.Any ideas? Does such a thing even exist in any form?

Hello,

At a reunion dinner for WW2 Fighter Command veterans at the RAF Club, Mayfair, Air Chief Marshal of the RAF [Ret'd] Sir James Charles Bigglesworth, MC, VC, DFM, DFC, DSO [2 bars], CBE, AFC entered the room in formal attire, resplendent with his many medals, and without much fanfare, accompanied by his former aide-de-camp, best friend & well known avid amateur horticulturalist, Air Commodore [Ret'd], the Honourable Algernon 'Algy' Lacey, DFC, DSO, Croix de Guerre, and walked toward a table where he spied two familiar faces from his beloved 666 Squadron of old.Former ACM of the RAF, Sir James, known to his many friends and throughout the length and breadth of the RAF as 'Biggles', smiled broadly at his comrades in arms from Battle Of Britain days, namely Group Captain George 'Ginger' Hebblethwaite, DFC, DSO [currently in charge of Policy and Training at the Home Establishment] and the still dapper Flight Lieutenant [Ret'd] Lord Albert 'Bertie' Lissie, DFC, fighter pilot extraordinaire, post-WW2 Formula One racing car virtuoso, world famous philanthropist and animal conservationist.

jackneeson created a new topic ' Prodrive hydraulic reverse issue...Maybe' in the forum. 4 months ago

Hello,

So, I don't have much experience with this thing so maybe this is normal. I ran about a half mile up a little ditch when it ran out of water. While trying to get the boat spun around, the hydraulic reverse quit working. This was after rotating the foot back and forth several times while it was stuck in fairly hard mud. After a minute or so, it started working again. When I got it home, I tried to duplicate the situation. If I rotate back and forth while putting pressure on the lower unit with my foot, it will quit working after several times. I hooked my voltmeter up to the leads at the switch and, after finding the constant 12v, found that the voltage cuts out before the switch. I assume this is the thermal cutout, but should it cutout this easy. The cutout gets warm, but certainly not hot. I am in Indiana and the nearest dealer is a long ways away.

jackneeson created a new topic ' Stuck in the mud - Again' in the forum. 4 months ago

Hello,

The old subject of getting stuck in a muddy field ! Just had my first experience of it in our van having been M/H ing for 18 Months, we were camping on a Camping and caravan club certified site on Thursday and Friday night, did all the right things pulled up on the site entrance walked the site to see how firm it was etc, etc, pulled onto the pitch on thursday and all was well, well until it rained anyway. overnight the van sank slightly but didnt realise the extent until we tried to get off this morning and no luck the left front wheel was happy to just sit there and spin, fitted the tracks I carry tried again and they just ended up being flung out from under the wheels.
Did alll the right things rocked the van gently, tried going forward, tried turning the steering wheel while rocking the van, no joy I just got deeper. I went to see the farmer having given up to see if he had a tractor unfortunatly not but he had a quad bike !, I didnt think much of its chances pulling a 4 tonne MH but had no other choice, guess what it couldnt do it. As the only other camper on the site hasd a Rover 600 didnt think much of the chances of that getting me out either.Anyway eventualy another caravan turned up and he was driving a Disco and after he had pitched was more than happy to help, he had no problems getting me out although I did leave some nice big rutts in the ground.

jackneeson created a new topic ' Stuck in the mud!!' in the forum. 4 months ago

Hello,
It's a long old day with these people 6.30am til whenever you finish (up til about 6.30pm). Yesterday was pretty ordinary I drove, with another of their drivers sitting in and showing me the ropes, but today was a farce. I was out with another of their drivers, a moronic kid who's had his HGV less time than I have (and that ain't long) and had no previous driving experience of any kind. He was driving and it was pretty rural. He tried to turn round down a quiet, narrow lane and went up on the grass. As he did this I exclaimed "You're brave, taking this (18 tonner) on the green stuff" and then we sunk 10 inches into the mud and had to wait 3 1/2 hours to be pulled out by a wrecker truck. An old farmer did try to get us out to begin with, with his knackered old tractor, but that didn't do anything. I thought it was all rather funny as this [zb] had been bombing round like a loony and generally 'giving it the big one' all morning. Pride comes before a fall. I drove back and showed him the meaning of the phrase 'speed limit' and how to not land yourself in a world of [zb].
